“The health and safety of our employees is what’s most important to us as we navigate these unprecedented times. We are adapting to continue to succeed despite the COVID-19 pandemic,” said Gi Zocche, Human Resource Specialist for Phytobiotics North America, LLC.

Phytobiotics North America has implemented policies and procedures to ensure the safety and wellbeing of its employees. Drawn from CDC guidelines, and as a result of an in-office hazard assessment, Phytobiotics has committed to taking the following steps to ensure the protection of employee’s health.

Staying Informed

Gianni Zocche, Human Resource Specialist, has been designated as point-person for coordination for the North American Office COVID-19 response. Employees and other stakeholders have her as a resource for information, best practices and personal concerns.

Zocche has conducted hazard assessments in each office space to identify common high touch areas as well as everyday office practices that carry the highest risk of transmission. These spaces and practices have been adjusted to allow for greater social distancing, disinfection and personal protection.

In-Office Changes

Signage informing employees of new policies and procedures have been posted around both office spaces. These guidelines include thorough and regular hand washing, social distancing when able, the use of a mask when social distancing is not an option, coughing and sneezing etiquette  and a limitation on the number of people in a meeting room at once.

High-touch areas and common spaces are disinfected regularly and hand sanitizer (with at least 60% alcohol), masks and temperature checks are accessible in both offices.

Individual Protection

Employees have been informed of best practices on personal protection. Resources for self-monitoring of symptoms are posted and individual conversations have been had with every employee to discuss concerns, policy and answer questions.

Phytobiotics actively discourages sick employees from entering the office and has a mandatory two-week quarantine after any travel or any potential exposure to the virus. New telework policies have been implemented and are adaptable to meet each employee’s individual needs and concerns.

“We are grateful to live in a time when we have the technology to stay connected even when we are apart. At Phytobiotics, we value innovation and collaboration no matter how it looks. Our team is working hard as ever to produce creative solutions, both personally and for our clients. Phytobiotics North America is a family, and we look out for each other as such,” said Alex Zocche, Managing Director for Phytobiotics North America, LLC.
